A handmade friend can begin a real connection.
Every crocheted animal arrives with an encouraging note to remind a child that someone is thinking about them.
If a child is old enough, able to read and write, and wants to participate, they may join the pen-pal program with the person who made their animal. They can exchange friendly letters, share interests, and stay connected over time.
Safe by design: participation requires hospital approval, parent or guardian consent, and adult supervision. Personal contact information is not shared, and no child is ever required to reply.

Each crocheted friend is made with machine-washable yarn and hypoallergenic polyester filling. Every detail is chosen with comfort, cleanliness, and hospital guidance in mind.
Age-aware details
Faces are embroidered, with no detachable plastic eyes, buttons, beads, or ribbons.
Carefully prepared
Each animal is made in a clean workspace, freshly laundered with fragrance-free detergent, fully dried, inspected, and individually sealed.
Hypoallergenic means less likely to cause irritation, not allergy-free. Materials, age suitability, and preparation requirements are reviewed with each hospital or Child Life team before gifts are distributed.
